The Annunciation Prayer

Annunciation Prayer

It was built in 1530 and completed with its wonderful frescoes five years later; however, an earlier church had existed on the site, in the middle of extensive woods, as early as 1415. The church features a unique two broken arcade porch and one of the most remarkable frescoes is that of the Virgin with the Infant placed near the main entrance door.

Nowadays only the church still stands in very picturesque natural area towards the limits of Gura Humorului Town, while the remains of the monastery it was part of lie some 300 m. away.
